How Are Shipping Rates Determined
Shipping rates are detrmined by the weight of your order (remember buttons are made of metal, and in large quanties weigh a lot), where the order is to be shipped, and how soon you need your order.  These shipping rates are pulled directly from FedEx and/or the USPS.

Why is shipping so Expensive?
A number of factors influence the cost of shipping.  One of the most influential being, how soon do you need these buttons?  If you need them within a short period of time you will have to pay FedEx a premium for their service. Fedex Express services are guaranteed  You are paying for this guarantee.  You can save a lot of money just by planning ahead.  The cost of shipping is also influenced by the weight of your package, as well as how far away you are from our location, Branford, CT.

Why do I have to Pay a RUSH fee and Expedited Delivery?
The RUSH fee is a fee that you pay us to push your order to the front of the line. This fee covers our costs including in some cases the overtime we have to pay to get your order out ASAP. The shipping fee is the fee you pay to the shipper to ensure delivery by the date you need your buttons. We do not have any control of what the shipper charges. The rates on the site are pulled direcctly from FedEx and the USPS.

Does Free Shipping Really Take 9 Business Days
Yes and No. It really is determined by our production and shipping loads. The maximum time free shipping will take is 9 business days. If you absoulty need your order before then, do not choose free shipping.

I put my date in but it won't let me choose Free Shipping?
That is because your delivery date does not qualify for free shipping. You will have to choose a different date that is farther out and click the check button to be able to select free shippign.

Things to Keep in Mind
Our products are custom made. Every order has to be processed, set up by a designer, printed, die cut, assembled, quality checked, and shipped.   Please keep in mind production and shipping times when planning your button project. Shipping Rates

How do I reorder?

PDFPrintE-mail

We want to make re-order simple so with every order we send an Easy Reorder Card. On this card we write your Purchase Order (PO) number as well as any DesignIds.   If you have an order you'd like to duplicate, take the following steps:

  1. Navigate to  www.justbuttons.org
  2. Select the size and shape of the button you'd like to order
  3. Enter the total quantity of the size you would like to order. Repeat this step for every size and shape that you'd like to reorder.
  4. On the last page of the check out, in the notes section, enter the PO and or the DesignIds from your easy reorder card.  These numbers can also be located in the confirmation email from your previous order.
  5. We'll take care of the rest.
If you don't have your PO or design Ids, or would rather have us place the order for you, just give us a call at 1-800-564-2924

Graphic Guidelines

Just Buttons has released our very own online button designer. With this tool you can quickly and easily design a button online without having to download templates or design software.   Upload your own image(s) or use one  of the pre-installed background.  If you are uploading your own art it has to be in .jpg or .PNG format and be under 2MB. Also make sure that your file is at least 300DPI. Click here to view a video tutorial on how to use our button designer software. Please note that what you see on your screen is exactly what will print on the face of your button. If you would like rim text or specific color bleed, please leave us a note in the notes section of the order form or send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

To get started choose the size and shape of button you are interested in:

1 inch round
1.25 inch round
1.75 inch round

2.25 inch round
 3 inch round
 3.5 inch round
 2 inch square
2 inch diamond
2.5 x 3.5 inch rectangle
3.5 x 2.5 inch rectangle

For those of you who would rather use your own software see below.

Download one of the templates from our button templates page.  We recommend you use our Photoshop templates. If you do not have Adobe Photoshop, you can download a free 30-day trial version from their site: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop or you can download GIMP, an open source (free) image editor. Open Office also offers an open source graphics program as well,  which you can download here.  Button templates for GIMP can be found on buttonmakers.net blog.

When creating your design, you will want to fit everything you want to appear on the face of the button inside the inner circle. The area from the inner circle to the outer circle is the "bleed" area. This is what will wrap around the side of the button. Your design or background color should extend into the bleed area. You have the option of including your myspace, facebook, and/or web address in the bleed area. The bleed area is not visible from the face of the button. Any text you place in this area will be printed on the outer rim of the button not on the face.

button-help

All artwork submitted must be:
-Saved in CMYK or grey scale color mode (we can convert RGB files but the colors may look different and we are not responsible for color shifts)
-No less than 300dpi in resolution
-With all text saved as outlines/shapes
-If you are working in photoshop do not flatten your image, if you flatten the image, please turn all the guide layers off before saving.

Remember your art may not look exactly like it does on your screen or on your home printer. Color shifts are common especially if you send us RGB art. We use a high quality digital printing press which prints very different than most home ink jets. If you are concerned about matching something exactly consider sending us a hard copy sample to match, or requesting a physical proof ($5).

An upload fields is built-into our order page or you can e-mail your art to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

What file-types do you accept?
We can accept pretty much any file type you send us. The most convenient file types are PSD, PDF, PNG, or high-quality JPGs. For the best results we suggest using one of our templates above. We ask that the designs you send us are ready to print to the best of your ability. If we have a problem with your files we will email you. Please make sure that you convert all your text to paths, and either save your file as a layerd file or turn off the guides.

A few tips:
Our templates are setup for 300 DPI (dots per inch) in order to provide you with the best quality buttons possible. The images that you use for your buttons need to be 300 DPI or they need to fit well in the template design/bleed edges. If the images start out smaller than our template (and must be enlarged to fit) they will not produce good quality buttons. Low quality images make for bad buttons. In other words, don't enlarge images to fit in the template.

Still need help?
If all this talk about templates and bleed areas and resolution confuses you, consider requesting our design services. For a flat fee of $5 per design used, we will help you create a design for your buttons. Contact us for more information.
